Can the City of Temecula allow businesses to re-open in Temecula that are not allowed to be opened by the State of California?

The City of Temecula does not have the authority to override the State of California by re-opening businesses that are currently closed by State orders. The State of California determines which businesses are a part of the “essential” workforce and/or part of each stage of re-opening. Although the City is proactively lobbying on behalf of Temecula Valley to safely and responsibly re-open our local economy, the decision is made by the State of California.
