Internship / Fellowship

The City of Temecula offers an internship/fellowship program to college students who are interested in working with the city.

Program Advantages

  • Students taking part in the program will gain hands-on project experience as they learn about local government workings.
  • The students will also have the opportunity to gain leadership and problem-solving skills, achieve professional growth, and expand their personal and professional networks.


The city offers internships/fellowships in a variety of departments including Economic Development, Human Services, Finance, Engineering, IT, etc.


College students interested in working with the City of Temecula are encouraged to apply. To be considered for the program, send a current resume to Charles Walker via email to express interest. 

Application Process

  1. Submit resume to Charles Walker via email
  2. Students resume and qualifications will be screened
  3. If the student clears the screening, they will be contacted for an interview and further steps
  4. If offered a position, the student will receive an internship application and must submit the following for the application process: cover letter, resume and a letter of recommendation. Potential interns will also have to successfully pass a Live Scan fingerprinting.
