Swim Lesson Policies & Procedures
Refund Policy for Aquatic Activities
This applies to everything except Youth Swim Lessons. Refunds must be requested 5 business days prior to the class start date. A 20% cancellation fee will be applied to all approved refunds.
Class fees will not be prorated due to participant illness or absence and make-up classes will not be offered. To request a refund you must contact us.
Note: There is a different Refund Policy for Youth Swim Lessons.
Disabled Access
The City of Temecula provides disabled access for swimmers with disabilities. Swimming lessons, water aerobics, and adult fitness classes are open to all who can participate with reasonable accommodation. During Lap Swim, the pool is divided with slow, medium, and fast paced swimmers. If you are in need of a disability related accommodation or need further information, call 951-308-6396.
Youth Swim Lessons Registration Procedure
We offer 2 options for you to register your swimmers for Youth Swim Lessons: Online and Walk-In. Both take place during the dates specified for each session. You can see those dates for Summer.
Online Registration
Online Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the 1st date specified for each session, on our website. Online Registration stays open until 11:59 p.m. on the last date specified for each session. At that time we will no longer take any registrations (online or walk-in). Make sure you have an online account created prior to the registration date.
Walk-In Registration
Walk-In Registration begins at 9 a.m. on the 1st date specified for each session. We will accept Walk-In Registration until 4:45 p.m. on the last date specified for each session.
Online Registration is the quickest and most convenient option for registering; Walk-In Registration is generally used if you are having trouble registering online.
Swim Lesson Registration will be handled in the following priority:
- 1st Priority: Temecula Residents are given priority during registration. Lessons fill quickly, so remember to take advantage of the online resident registration period.
- 2nd Priority: Registration for Non-Residents. Non-Residents include but are not limited to: De Luz, Silverhawk, French Valley, Winchester, Morgan Hill, Murrieta, and other nearby communities.
See the Resident Policy for more information.
One Class Per Session Per Swimmer
A swimmer may be registered for 1 (one) class per session. This includes Youth Swim Lesson, Adaptive Swim Lessons, Semi-Private Lessons and Adult Lessons. A swimmer may NOT register for two group classes during a session or for a group class and a semi-private class. Our program is very impacted and cannot accommodate dual enrollment.
Violators will be given a warning and may be removed from the class.
A student will attend the class time they are registered for during the duration of the session. They may NOT attend a different class time for any reason during the session.
Full Class & Wait List Procedure
Full Class
If a class is marked as FULL you can still add your swimmer to the wait list by continuing with the registration process. You will not be charged to be on the wait list.
Note: We have to manually update the charts to say "full," so sometimes a class will be "full" but not marked as "full." We work very hard to keep it as up to date as possible but it is not always perfect. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Wait List
To be on the wait list is free and will “hold your spot” in line for the next available opening. If we get an opening in a class we will call the people on the wait list in order until we fill the spot. If we call you and you do not answer, we will leave a message and give you a time frame to get back to us. If you do not get back to us before that time frame is over we will move on to the next person until we fill the spot.
Note: If you do not hear from us before the 1st day that means your swimmer did not get a spot in the class and you do not need to show up to the class (there will be no room in the class).
