Pediatric First Aid

The City is pleased to offer American Heart Association, Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid courses. This class is designed to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child care workers in all 50 states. This course teaches basic First Aid skills for children such as:
  • What to do when a child or infant has a breathing problem
  • Stopping bleeding that can be seen
This is a great tool for individuals in the community that have children or work closely with children. This course is designed to provide parents, day care providers, day camp workers, foster care families and babysitters with the skills necessary to manage a pediatric illness or injury prior to emergency personnel arriving.

Please dress comfortably as this is a hands-on class. Students will be expected to perform all skills taught in the class. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued a certification card. There will be no course refund after instruction has been delivered.
