PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Adds an auxiliary lane to northbound I-15 from the Temecula Parkway on-ramp to the Rancho California Road off-ramp.  This is an operational and safety improvement designed to alleviate congestion on I-15 by providing drivers with better opportunity to enter and exit the freeway smoothly.

Construction is scheduled for March 2024 through October 2024.

This project is a result of efforts and findings by the Move I-15 Through Temecula Valley Regional Task Force.  The Task Force also created a project to add auxiliary lanes on northbound I-15 from the Rancho California Road on-ramp to the Winchester Road off-ramp and on southbound I-15 from the Winchester Road on-ramp to the Rancho California Road off-ramp and from the Rancho California Road on-ramp to the Temecula Parkway off-ramp.  This second project is being led by Caltrans and is scheduled to begin construction in 2025.
